I spent 12 days in Nicaragua, driving a little rented truck around the north to Sebaco, Chaguitillo, Matagalpa, Selva Negra and then south to the port of San Jorge. From there I caught a ferry to Moyogalpa, on the volcanic island of Ometepe on Lake Cocibolca. Returning to Managua, I flew to the Corn Islands for 5 days and then back to Managua and home. No one died.

I found this sweater at the Salvation Army thrift store on Valencia Street in San Francisco around 1996. It cost me $3.75 and has proved to be a highly entertaining investment.
The tags sewn to the inside of the sweater read as follows:
"M" a relative size, this sweater stretches a lot as can be witnessed below. "Handmade by l'americaine" (!) "100% ACRYLIC, hand wash cold, do not twist or wring. reshape. dry flat touch up with warm iron on reverse side as necessary. do not dry clean. rn 50148. made in korea."
The Clownsweater once travelled to the UK via FedEx so some co-workers could know the joy of being photographed in it. I would like to take this opportunity to note that I have not yet visited the UK, but my sweater has.
